FCAWI YOUTH "HIP HOP PARTY ROCKERS"
FCAWI YOUTH PROGRAM
Hip-Hop as the word connotes, conjures up images of the new freestyle dance as with rappers, breakdancers in the streets or at indoor parties that our youth are so much into. The FCAWI Youth Program that broke ground in summer 2011 focused on this type of dance to teach to our youth. An initial group of 12 students calling themselves the FCAWI Hip-Hop Party Rockers began learning their dance moves at the ground level of the Spring Garden Chalet every Saturday. At the helm of the Hip-Hop dance class is Viber Salazar, an international award winning Hip-Hop dancer. They showcased their dance moves at FCAWI events such as the annual Family Christmas party and Sports Closing.
The Youth Program is going through a temporary break in their Hip-Hop class as their teacher is in Las Vegas training for a worldwide competition. A search for a substitute has started.
