The latest project of the Association is called the “Himlayang Filipino Memorial Garden,” the first Filipino Memorial Garden in Montreal, Quebec, Canada that is dedicated mainly to the Filipino community of the West Island, Montreal and Suburbs and throughout Quebec.
A portion of the Lakeview Memorial Garden located on 710 Donegani, Dorval, Quebec is allocated to FCAWI to be called “Himlayang Filipino Memorial Garden.” Cutting of the ribbon to formally inaugurate the site was done by Hon. Francis Scarpaleggia and a blessing of the site by Rev. Fr. Jim McDonald on Saturday, July 13, 2013.
